Young People in Dudley - NHS Pharmacies Research
21st June 2010Community Research has been commissioned to undertake research with young people in Dudley, on behalf of Dudley NHS. Previous research at a national level has highlighted that young people are the group that visit and make use of pharmacies the least. Pharmacies could, however, play a key role in addressing some of the major public health issues for young people including smoking, sexual health and use of alcohol. The research will seek to uncover young people's views and attitudes to using pharmacies and gain their input to a campaign aimed at increasing uptake of pharmacy services.

PermalinkOur Contribution to New Grandparents' Guide
27th April 2010Grandparents Plus is the national charity which champions the vital role of grandparents and the wider family in children's lives. Grandparents Plus was funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families to develop "Family Life: a grandparents’ guide to supporting families through difficult times". Community Research was commissioned by Grandparents Plus to bring real people's voices into the guide by conducting a series of focus groups with parents and grandparents. The guide's draft content was discussed and explored, so that guidance could be firmly based on people's real life experiences. You can download a copy of the guide here.
